How to cope with...

In this post I'm going to deal with the following topic: How to cope with "The Sherman Tank" and "The Indecisive" students.
I think that along the years we have been teaching we all may have had to deal with these kind of studens. From my point of view "The Sherman Tanks" are more difficult to deal with than "The Indecisives".
The Sherman Tanks are abusive students who confront with other students and teachers all the time. I think this is because most of them have low self stem and the best way to work with them is to make a connection. Affective filter is really important. We first have to stablish a connection with them and once we have done it succesfully we have to start working on the relationship with his/her partners.
The Indecisives are a bit easier to deal with than the Sherman Tanks. I think that is a student is indecisive you have to shorten the options. I mean, instead of letting them choose give him/her two options to work with and in that way you'll make it easier. If it doesn't work you may guide him/her to choose one of the two options.
